Child Safety Standards
Last updated: June 2026
StudentPlace is committed to protecting children from sexual abuse and exploitation. This page explains our standards, our prevention measures, and how to report a concern.
1. Our Commitment
StudentPlace ("we", "us", "our") has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) of any kind. This includes child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion, trafficking, or any other form of child sexual exploitation.
StudentPlace is intended for college students who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly permit anyone under 18 to use the platform. Any account found to belong to a minor, or any content involving the sexual exploitation of a minor, results in immediate account suspension and content removal.
2. How We Prevent CSAE
We take the following measures to prevent CSAE on StudentPlace:
• Age eligibility — registration requires a verified college email address, and every user must explicitly confirm they are 18 years of age or older before they can use the platform
• Automated content moderation — public posts and comments are automatically screened using AI-based moderation (Groq) before being visible to other users
• Human review — reports we receive are reviewed by our team
• Immediate removal — any content found to violate this policy is removed immediately upon detection or report, and the associated account is permanently banned
3. How to Report a Concern
If you encounter content or behaviour on StudentPlace that you believe involves the sexual abuse or exploitation of a minor, please report it immediately through our contact page at studentplace.in/contact. Please describe what you saw in as much detail as possible, including the username, post, or conversation involved, so we can locate and act on it quickly.
We review all reports related to child safety as our highest priority and aim to respond within 24 hours of receiving a report.
4. Reporting to Authorities
Where required by law, we report confirmed instances of CSAM or CSAE to the relevant national and regional authorities, including India's National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) and, where applicable, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).
We cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations related to child safety.
